By accessing or using Tahanan ("the Service"), operated by Xylo Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Tahanan is a subscription-based Tagalog language learning platform that provides structured grammar and vocabulary lessons, smart flashcard systems, and AI-powered conversation practice. Access to the Service requires a paid subscription.
To use Tahanan, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
Tahanan offers monthly subscription plans at $10 per month. Founding Members who pre-pay receive promotional pricing as specified at the time of purchase.
By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law or as specified in our refund policy.
We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until that date.
Founding Members who pre-pay are eligible for a full refund if the Service does not launch. Refund requests must be submitted to hello@tagalogapp.com.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and AI-generated content, are owned by Tahanan LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
The Service may allow you to create and save content such as flashcards, conversation transcripts, and notes. You retain ownership of your content, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
You are responsible for your content and must ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.
Our AI conversation practice feature uses artificial intelligence to simulate conversations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may contain errors or inaccuracies. The Service is for educational purposes and should not be relied upon as the sole source of language learning.
We do not guarantee that the AI will always respond appropriately or accurately. By using AI features, you acknowledge these limitations.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Service.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAHANAN LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tahanan LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on the Service and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
